NEWPORT BEACH, CA – FirmGreen supports the extension of the Volumetric Excise Tax Credits (VETAC) for natural gas through 2010. The “Tax Extenders” Bill (HR4213) extends the tax credit of 50 cents per gallon of compressed natural gas (CNG) and 50 cents per liquid gallon of liquefied natural gas (LNG) used for vehicle fuel to December 31, 2010.

FirmGreen supports this legislation as a part of the solution to reducing our dependence on imported petroleum, and making the transition to cleaner fuels. We applaud the passage of H.R. 4213 and encourage you to write your Senator in favor of extending the tax credit for natural gas.
